Kingdom of Serbia
The Kingdom of Serbia was a sovereign state established in 1882, following Serbia's independence from the Ottoman Empire. It was a constitutional monarchy with a royal family, primarily the Karađorđević dynasty. The kingdom played a key role in regional politics and national identity, navigating modern political reforms and international alliances. It existed until 1918 when, after World War I, it merged into the newly formed Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes (later Yugoslavia). The Kingdom of Serbia laid the foundation for modern Serbia's national development and played a significant part in early 20th-century Balkan history.
