Ejército Libertador

The Ejército Libertador, or Liberation Army, was a military force that fought for the independence of Cuba from Spanish colonial rule in the late 19th century. Established during the Cuban War of Independence (1895-1898), it was composed mainly of Cuban rebels seeking freedom and self-governance. The army played a crucial role in the struggle, employing guerrilla tactics and rallying support from the Cuban population. The efforts of the Ejército Libertador ultimately contributed to the end of Spanish rule in Cuba, leading to the island's eventual independence, although the U.S. later intervened and maintained significant influence.
