Egyptian Revolution

The Egyptian Revolution, part of the Arab Spring, began in January 2011 as a popular uprising against President Hosni Mubarak's nearly 30-year rule. Citizens, frustrated by government corruption, economic challenges, and lack of political freedom, took to the streets demanding change. Protests grew in size and intensity, leading to Mubarak’s resignation in February 2011. The revolution aimed for a more democratic and just society but resulted in a complex and ongoing struggle for power, which included military control and political instability in the years following the initial protests. The revolution significantly impacted the region and Egypt's future.
