Domain and range
In mathematics, the domain refers to all the possible input values (or "x" values) that a function can accept, while the range refers to all the possible output values (or "y" values) that a function can produce. For example, if a function takes ages as input, the domain might be the ages from 0 to 100, and the range could be the corresponding life expectancies. Understanding domain and range helps clarify what a function can do and what values are relevant for specific situations.
