Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs are a diverse group of reptiles that lived millions of years ago, during the Mesozoic Era. They include both carnivores like Tyrannosaurus rex and herbivores like Triceratops. Dinosaurs first appeared around 230 million years ago, dominating the Earth until about 65 million years ago, when a mass extinction event led to their decline. They are characterized by upright postures and new skeletal features that distinguish them from other reptiles. Some dinosaurs evolved into birds, which are considered their direct descendants. Their fossils provide valuable insights into Earth's prehistoric ecosystems and evolutionary history.
