Descriptive Studies

Descriptive studies are research approaches that aim to provide an accurate portrayal of a situation or phenomenon without changing or influencing it. They collect and analyze data to describe the characteristics of a population, event, or issue, such as trends, patterns, and relationships. Common methods include surveys, observations, and case studies. Unlike experimental studies, which test hypotheses, descriptive studies help us understand the "what" of a situation, serving as a foundation for further research and informing decision-making based on observed facts and conditions.
