Dependent Variable
A dependent variable is a factor in an experiment or study that researchers measure to see how it changes in response to other influences. Essentially, it’s what you’re trying to understand or predict. For example, if you’re studying how studying time affects test scores, the test score is the dependent variable because it depends on the amount of time spent studying. Changes in the independent variable (in this case, studying time) will likely lead to changes in the dependent variable, helping to show the relationship between the two.
