Controlled Experiment

A controlled experiment is a scientific method used to test a hypothesis by comparing two groups: one that receives the treatment or intervention (the experimental group) and one that does not (the control group). The key is to keep all other variables the same to ensure that any differences observed are due to the treatment alone. For example, if testing a new fertilizer's effectiveness on plant growth, one group of plants would receive the fertilizer, while another identical group would not. This helps researchers draw clear conclusions about the impact of the treatment.
