Counter-revolution

A counter-revolution refers to a movement that seeks to reverse or resist changes brought about by a prior revolution. After a significant social or political upheaval, such as the overthrow of a government or a radical change in society, some groups may feel threatened by these changes. They then mobilize to restore the old order or implement a new system that reflects their beliefs and values. Counter-revolutions often emerge from political, social, or cultural dissent and can lead to conflict, as the opposing sides vie for control and influence over the direction of society.
