Communication satellites

Communication satellites are spacecraft orbiting the Earth that facilitate long-distance communication. They send and receive signals for various services, including television broadcasts, internet connectivity, and phone calls. Positioned in geostationary orbits, they maintain a fixed position relative to the Earth's surface, allowing for stable communication. Ground-based stations, known as Earth stations, transmit signals to the satellite, which then relays them to other Earth stations. This technology enables global communication without the need for extensive ground infrastructure, making it essential for modern telecommunications, remote areas connection, and broadcasting.
