Communication satellites

Communication satellites are spacecraft orbiting the Earth that facilitate long-distance communication. They send and receive signals for various services, including television broadcasts, internet connectivity, and phone calls. Positioned in geostationary orbits, they maintain a fixed position relative to the Earth's surface, allowing for stable communication. Ground-based stations, known as Earth stations, transmit signals to the satellite, which then relays them to other Earth stations.
