Comandantes Zapatistas

The Comandantes Zapatistas are leaders of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN), a revolutionary group from Mexico, primarily based in the southern state of Chiapas. They emerged in 1994, advocating for indigenous rights, social justice, and opposition to neoliberalism. The movement gained global attention for its armed uprising on January 1, coinciding with the implementation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
