Cohort Effects Theory

Cohort Effects Theory refers to how people born around the same time, or within a specific group, share similar experiences and perspectives shaped by the historical and social context of their upbringing. This means that events like economic crises, technological advancements, or cultural shifts influence how these groups think, behave, and acquire knowledge differently from other generations. For example, Baby Boomers may approach technology differently than Millennials due to the unique circumstances they faced while growing up. Understanding these effects helps us appreciate the diversity in viewpoints and knowledge across different age groups.
