Científicos
Científicos, or "Scientists" in English, refers to a group of Mexican intellectuals and politicians in the late 19th to early 20th centuries, who supported modernization and scientific approaches to governance. They sought to apply scientific principles to social, economic, and political issues in Mexico, advocating for education, rationality, and progress. Influenced by positivism, they believed that society could improve through knowledge and technology. Prominent figures included Manuel González and José María Lemoine. Their efforts significantly impacted Mexico's development, but they were also criticized for authoritarian methods and neglecting traditional values.
