Church of the East
The Church of the East is one of the oldest Christian denominations, originating in the 1st century AD, primarily among the Eastern communities, particularly in what is now Iraq and parts of Persia. It developed its own distinct traditions and theology, separate from the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches. Historically known for its missionary work and spreading Christianity across Asia, the Church uses the East Syriac liturgical tradition. Its followers, while facing historical challenges and persecution, continue to maintain their identity and cultural heritage, emphasizing the importance of their ancient roots in Christianity.
