Chang'e program
The Chang'e program is China's lunar exploration initiative, named after the Chinese moon goddess. Launched by the China National Space Administration (CNSA), it aims to study the Moon’s surface, geology, and potential resources. The program has achieved significant milestones, including orbiters, landers, and rovers. Notable missions include Chang'e 4, which made the first successful soft landing on the Moon’s far side in 2019, and Chang'e 5, which returned lunar samples to Earth in 2020. Through these missions, China seeks to expand its scientific knowledge and capabilities in space exploration.
