Tiangong program
The Tiangong program is China's initiative to develop and operate its own space station, named "Tiangong," meaning "Heavenly Palace." Launched in 2021, it involves assembling modular modules in orbit to create a sustainable, long-term habitat for astronauts and scientific research. The program demonstrates China's capabilities in space technology, supporting scientific experiments, international cooperation, and advancements in space exploration. It is comparable to other space stations like the International Space Station but is independently operated by China. The Tiangong station aims to enhance China's presence in space and contribute to global scientific knowledge.
