Challenger Deep
Challenger Deep is the deepest known point in the Earth's oceans, located in the Mariana Trench in the western Pacific Ocean. It reaches about 36,000 feet (approximately 10,973 meters) below sea level. This extreme depth is characterized by crushing pressure and cold temperatures. Due to its remoteness and harsh conditions, very few explorations have successfully reached Challenger Deep. It is of great interest to scientists studying marine life, geology, and the limits of human exploration. Adventurous submersibles and unmanned vehicles have successfully captured images and samples from this mysterious part of our planet.
