Cell cycle phase G1

The G1 phase, or Gap 1 phase, is the first part of the cell cycle, which is the series of events that a cell goes through to grow and divide. During G1, the cell grows in size, synthesizes proteins, and produces the organelles it needs for its functions. It also checks its surroundings to ensure conditions are right for division. This phase is crucial because it prepares the cell for DNA replication in the next phase, G1 also helps determine if the cell should replicate or enter a resting state, ensuring proper growth and function.
