Caste Dynamics
Caste dynamics refer to the social hierarchy and relationships between different groups in societies, particularly in India, where the caste system categorizes people based on their occupation and social roles. Traditionally, there are four main categories (varnas) – Brahmins (priests and scholars), Kshatriyas (warriors and rulers), Vaishyas (merchants and landowners), and Shudras (laborers and service providers). Over time, this system has evolved, influencing social interactions, economic opportunities, and politics, and has led to discrimination, particularly against marginalized groups known as Dalits. Modern movements aim to address these inequalities and promote social justice.
