Burgundian Wars
The Burgundian Wars (1474-1477) were a series of conflicts involving the Duchy of Burgundy, led by Duke Charles the Bold, and a coalition of European powers including France and Switzerland. After Charles attempted to expand his territory and authority, he faced resistance. The wars culminated in his defeat at the Battle of Nancy in 1477, where he was killed. This loss led to the disintegration of Burgundian power and the annexation of much of its territory by France. The wars were significant in reshaping political alliances and territorial boundaries in Western Europe during the late 15th century.
