Buerger's disease
Buerger's disease, also known as thromboangiitis obliterans, is a rare condition where inflammation and clot formation occur in the small and medium-sized arteries and veins, primarily in the arms and legs. This inflammation narrows or blocks blood flow, leading to pain, skin changes, and sometimes tissue death. It is strongly associated with tobacco use, and quitting smoking is essential for management. The disease mainly affects young or middle-aged men, and early diagnosis and treatment can prevent severe complications like gangrene or amputation.
