Brown Anole
The Brown Anole, scientifically known as Anolis sagrei, is a small lizard native to the Bahamas and parts of the Caribbean. It has become common in the southern United States, particularly Florida. Characterized by its brown or grayish coloration and distinctive throat flap (dewlap), it can change color to blend in with its surroundings. Brown Anoles are often found in gardens and yards, where they feed on insects and other small invertebrates. They are agile climbers and can often be seen basking in the sun. Their adaptability has allowed them to thrive in various environments.
