Lizard
A lizard is a small to medium-sized reptile with a scaly body, typically characterized by a long tail, four legs, and movable eyelids. They are cold-blooded animals that rely on external heat sources to regulate their body temperature. Lizards are found in diverse habitats worldwide, from deserts to forests, and many species are adept climbers or runners. They primarily feed on insects and small animals, playing important roles in their ecosystems. Lizards also exhibit various behaviors like shedding their skin and some can detach their tails to escape predators—a survival tactic known as autotomy.
