BPPV

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is a common inner ear disorder that causes brief episodes of dizziness when the position of your head changes. It occurs when tiny calcium crystals in the inner ear become dislodged and move into the wrong part of the ear, disrupting the balance signals sent to the brain. Symptoms include spinning sensations or lightheadedness, often triggered by specific movements like turning in bed or looking up. While BPPV can be unsettling, it is generally not serious and can often be treated effectively with certain head movements or maneuvers guided by a healthcare professional.
