Boucher de Perthes was a French archaeologist and paleontologist known for his discoveries in the mid-19th century. He is best recognized for advocating the idea that humans lived alongside prehistoric animals, which challenged contemporary beliefs. His work, particularly at the Abbeville site, revealed stone tools and fossil remains, supporting the existence of human life during the Ice Age.
