Bharatpur State

Bharatpur State was a former princely state in India, located in what is now Rajasthan. Established in the 18th century, it was ruled by a line of Rajput kings from the Jat community. The state played a significant role in regional politics and was known for its rich cultural heritage, including architecture and wildlife, especially the Keoladeo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After India gained independence in 1947, Bharatpur merged into the Indian Union, and its historical significance continues to be recognized through its monuments and natural reserves.
