Berber languages
Berber languages, also known as Tamazight languages, are a group of related languages spoken by the Berber people, primarily in North Africa, including Morocco, Algeria, and Libya. They belong to the Afro-Asiatic language family and have several dialects, such as Tachelhit, Tamazight, and Tarifit. Berber languages have a rich oral and written tradition, using the Tifinagh script, alongside Arabic and Latin scripts. They embody significant cultural identity and heritage for the Berber communities, which have a history that dates back thousands of years, pre-dating Arab influence in the region.
