Battle of Kirkee

The Battle of Kirkee, fought in 1817 near Pune, India, was a significant conflict in the Third Anglo-Maratha War. British forces, under General Pritzler, faced off against Maratha troops loyal to the Peshwa, Baji Rao II. The British aimed to assert control over the region while suppressing Maratha power.
