Bangladesh history

Bangladesh's history is shaped by ancient kingdoms, colonial rule, and struggles for independence. Originally part of Bengal, it was colonized by the British in the 18th century. After the partition of India in 1947, East Bengal became East Pakistan, but cultural and linguistic differences led to tensions. In 1971, following a brutal war for independence, Bangladesh emerged as a sovereign nation.
