Atoms

Atoms are the basic building blocks of matter, making up everything around us, from air to our own bodies. Each atom consists of three main particles: protons, which have a positive charge; neutrons, which are neutral; and electrons, which have a negative charge. Protons and neutrons form the nucleus at the center, while electrons orbit around it. Different combinations of these particles create different elements, like hydrogen and oxygen. Atoms can bond together to form molecules, leading to the diverse substances we see in the world. Understanding atoms is fundamental to chemistry, physics, and many scientific fields.
