Arabian Desert
The Arabian Desert is a vast desert located on the Arabian Peninsula, covering about 1.25 million square kilometers. It includes countries like Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Known for its extreme temperatures and limited rainfall, the desert features sand dunes, rocky plateaus, and gravel plains. The climate is harsh, with daytime temperatures in summer often exceeding 50°C (122°F). Despite its arid conditions, it is home to unique wildlife and plants that have adapted to survive. The desert also has rich cultural significance, with ancient trade routes and historical sites scattered throughout the region.
