Nabateans

The Nabateans were an ancient Arab people who thrived from around the 4th century BCE to the 2nd century CE, primarily in what is now Jordan, southern Syria, and northwest Saudi Arabia. They were renowned for their skilled trade, particularly in incense, spice, and precious goods, controlling important caravan routes. The Nabateans are also famous for their remarkable rock-cut architecture, most notably the city of Petra, which features intricate facades and an advanced water management system. Their society was a significant cultural intersection of the Arabian, Greco-Roman, and Eastern traditions, contributing to their lasting legacy in history.
