He was a trusted general and deputy of King Philip II and played a crucial role in the early conquests of Alexander the Great. After Philip's assassination, Antipater became the regent of Macedonia, managing the kingdom’s affairs while Alexander was on his campaigns. He is known for his political acumen and military skills, helping to maintain stability in the empire. Antipater’s legacy continued through his descendants, notably his son Cassander, who became king of Macedonia after Alexander's death.
