Anglo-Normans
The Anglo-Normans were a group of people in England after the Norman Conquest of 1066 when William the Conqueror, a French duke, invaded England. They were essentially Norman nobles and their descendants who settled in England, blending French and English culture. The Anglo-Normans brought many changes, including the introduction of French as the language of the elite and significant developments in law, architecture, and governance. Their influence helped shape medieval English society, leading to a feudal system where land ownership and power were central to social structure.
