Anemias

Anemia is a condition where you have fewer red blood cells than normal or a lower amount of hemoglobin, the protein that carries oxygen in the blood. It can lead to fatigue, weakness, and a pale appearance. Anemia can arise from various causes, including nutritional deficiencies (like iron, B12, or folate), chronic diseases, or bone marrow problems. In hematology and oncology, it’s important to identify the underlying cause to determine the appropriate treatment, which may involve dietary changes, medications, or, in some cases, more advanced therapies like transfusions.
