Al-Hakim al-Nishaburi

Al-Hakim al-Nishaburi was a prominent Islamic scholar and hadith compiler from the 10th century. Born in Nishapur, Persia, he is best known for his work in collecting and authenticating sayings (hadith) of the Prophet Muhammad. His most significant contribution is "Al-Mustadrak," which supplements earlier hadith collections by adding narrations he deemed authentic.
