Aiptasia

Aiptasia are small, marine creatures belonging to the sea anemone family. They typically have a cylindrical body topped with tentacles that help them catch food, primarily tiny particles drifting in the water. While they are natural inhabitants of coral reefs, Aiptasia can become a problem in aquariums because they reproduce quickly and compete with corals and other marine life for resources. Their management often involves careful physical removal or chemical treatments, as they can harm the delicate balance of a tank's ecosystem. Despite being pests in aquariums, they are fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.
