Adivasis

Adivasis, also known as Scheduled Tribes or indigenous people in India, comprise a diverse group of communities with distinct cultures, languages, and traditions. They often inhabit forested and rural areas and have historically lived in harmony with nature. Adivasis face socio-economic challenges, including marginalization, land rights issues, and limited access to education and healthcare. They play a crucial role in preserving biodiversity and cultural heritage. While their contributions and rights are increasingly recognized, efforts are ongoing to uplift their communities and protect their identities against the pressures of modernization and development.
