Abhinav Bharat Society

The Abhinav Bharat Society was a secret revolutionary organization founded in 1904 by former students of the Elphinstone College in Bombay (now Mumbai), India. Its primary aim was to promote Indian nationalism and overthrow British rule through active resistance and armed struggle. Key figures included Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, who later became a prominent nationalist leader. The society engaged in various revolutionary activities, including a plan to assassinate British officials. Although it was ultimately suppressed by colonial authorities, it played a significant role in the broader movement for Indian independence.
