Yan Kingdom

The Yan Kingdom was one of the ancient states during the Warring States period in China (475–221 BC). It was located in the northeastern part of present-day China, near Beijing. Known for its military strength and strategic positioning, the Yan Kingdom often engaged in conflict with neighboring states, particularly Qi, Zhao, and Qin. The kingdom's decline began in the 3rd century BC, leading to its eventual conquest by the Qin state, which unified China. Yan is notable for its contributions to Chinese culture and military tactics in this turbulent historical era.
