The Battle of Waterloo, fought on June 18, 1815, was a pivotal conflict that marked the end of Napoleon Bonaparte's rule as Emperor of France. Located near Waterloo in present-day Belgium, this battle saw Napoleon's French forces confront a coalition of armies led by the Duke of Wellington and Prussian General Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher.
