Vyacheslav Molotov was a prominent Soviet politician and diplomat, best known for his role as the Soviet foreign minister during the mid-20th century. He played a key part in shaping Soviet foreign policy before and during World War II, notably signing the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact in 1939, a non-aggression treaty with Nazi Germany.
