Visceral Fat

Visceral fat is a type of body fat stored deep inside the abdominal cavity, surrounding vital organs like the liver, stomach, and intestines. Unlike subcutaneous fat, which is just under your skin, visceral fat is hidden and can increase health risks. Excess visceral fat is linked to conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and inflammation. It often results from poor diet, lack of exercise, stress, and genetics. Monitoring and reducing visceral fat through a balanced diet, regular physical activity, and managing stress can improve overall health and decrease the risk of related diseases.
