Two-party system
A two-party system is a political framework where two main political parties dominate elections and governance. In this system, most voters align with one of the two parties, which simplifies the political landscape and often leads to a majority rule. For example, in the United States, the Democratic and Republican parties are the main players, influencing policies and agendas. While smaller parties exist, they typically struggle to gain significant power. This system can lead to stability but may also limit political diversity and the representation of alternative viewpoints.
