Treblinka
Treblinka was a Nazi extermination camp during World War II, located in occupied Poland. Established in 1942, it was part of the Holocaust, where over 850,000 Jews, along with Romani people and others, were systematically murdered. The camp operated mainly from July 1942 to October 1943, utilizing gas chambers to kill prisoners quickly and secretly. Conditions were horrific, and most inmates did not survive long after arrival. Treblinka's operation was kept concealed, and after its closure, the Nazis attempted to erase its existence, but today it serves as a stark reminder of the atrocities committed during the Holocaust.
