Operation Reinhard

Operation Reinhard was a covert Nazi plan during World War II, initiated in 1942, aimed at the systematic extermination of Jews in occupied Poland. It involved the establishment of extermination camps, such as Treblinka, Belzec, and Sobibor, where mass killings took place. The operation was named after Reinhard Heydrich, a key architect of the Holocaust. It resulted in the deaths of approximately two million Jews, marking one of the most brutal phases of the Holocaust and highlighting the extent of Nazi atrocities during this period. Operation Reinhard reflects the genocidal intent of the Nazi regime in its effort to annihilate the Jewish population.
