Tornado classification primarily uses the Enhanced Fujita Scale (EF Scale), which rates tornadoes from EF0 to EF5 based on the damage they cause. EF0 represents light damage, like broken branches, while EF1 involves moderate damage, such as roofs being torn off. EF2 shows significant damage, and EF3 winds can demolish well-built houses. EF4 and EF5 are the most severe, causing devastating destruction, where EF5 tornadoes can completely flatten buildings and produce extreme wind speeds over 200 mph.
