EF ratings

Ejection Fraction (EF) is a measurement used to assess how well your heart's left ventricle pumps blood with each beat. It’s expressed as a percentage; for example, an EF of 60% means 60% of the blood in the ventricle is expelled with each contraction. Normal EF ranges from 55% to 70%. Lower EF values (below 50%) can indicate weakened heart muscle or heart failure, while higher or preserved EF suggests better heart function. EF helps doctors determine the severity of heart conditions and guides treatment decisions.
