The Zapotec script

The Zapotec script is an ancient writing system used by the Zapotec civilization in what is now Oaxaca, Mexico. Developed around 600 BCE, it includes symbols that represent sounds and ideas, akin to a form of hieroglyphics. This script was used for recording events, religious texts, and administrative matters. Although not fully deciphered, it provides valuable insights into Zapotec culture and history.
