The Two-Nation Theory
The Two-Nation Theory is a political concept that emerged in the early 20th century, primarily associated with the idea that Muslims and Hindus in British India are distinct nations, with separate cultures, religions, and social practices. Advocated by leaders like Muhammad Ali Jinnah, this theory argued that Muslims should have their own nation to safeguard their rights and identity. This belief ultimately led to the creation of Pakistan in 1947, as a separate nation for Muslims, following the partition of India into two independent countries: India and Pakistan, based on religious identity.
